Hi, I’m Alex Moneton.

I’ve helped raise millions for early-stage founders, built large audiences, and now run Base Layer — a boutique fund and syndicate focused on bets in crypto and cultural tech.

💡 What is Base Layer Ventures?

• Base Layer Ventures is an angel investing club led by Alex Monéton that invests in early-stage tokens before they are made available to the public.
• On average, we invest 50K-$100K once a week in the pre-seed, seed, and private rounds of upcoming Web 3 games & ecosystems.
• As opposed to angel investing’s traditional 30% expected annual return, our goals are:
  • For founders & projects: provide guidance and advice on tokenomics, GTM strategy, KOL connections, etc., if needed (if not, we can keep our mouths shut and just transfer the funds 😬*)*
  • For investors: generate 10-25X returns in a maximum of 2 years, paid out monthly.

<aside> 💡 Being angel investors has two distinct advantages: a) we get in really early, and b) we’re automatically tied to the long-term success of the project because of the vesting schedule of our payback (more details below)

<aside> 😄 Good Outcome → We get 50-100% of our initial investment back on the token listing date (TGE). Over the next 18 months, we then get ‘free’ money as our tokens unlock.

<aside> 🤩 F#$@ Yea! Outcome → We make 2-3X our money back on TGE. Then, just like above, we continue to get free money for the next 18 months.
